资料显示，于建忠出生于70年，属少壮派“掌门人”；而且还是一位“老农行”，自1995年起加入农业银行，至今超过20个年头。同时，于建忠兼任国家金融与发展实验室高级研究员、中国东盟区域发展协同创新中心执行主任；研究员职称，享受国务院特殊津贴专家。

有消息称，融资过程中，因刘立荣控制权的问题投资方与金立进行了多次博弈，也导致了融资迟迟进行不下去。在此期间，对于刘立荣是否出局的问题，金立官方曾向《证券日报》记者回应表示，“不可能出局，因为刘立荣是金立的灵魂人物，融资这件事情都是他亲自在谈的。”
